A 54-year-old pedestrian has sadly died in hospital after being involved in an accident with a vehicle. A Renault Megane Scenic was in collision with Paul Thomas Jones, of Laugharne Close, Pembroke, at approximately 9.15 pm on Monday. The collision occurred at The Green, Pembroke, at the junction with Castle View. Mr. Jones was taken to Withybush Hospital, but he later died from his injuries. Mr. Jones had strong connections with Tenby. He was born and brought up locally and his mother Phyllis lives in the town. His funeral has been arranged for next Tuesday, details of which can be found on the obituary page. The driver of the Scenic was uninjured. The road was closed for four hours while police investigated the collision. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them at the roads policing unit, Haverfordwest, on 0845 330 2000.
