Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is delighted to announce it received a grant of £334 recently from the Port of Milford Haven Community Fund, administered by the Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) - which has enabled the charity to purchase 30 charity-branded polo shirts for its dedicated team of event volunteers.

The new uniform supports the charity’s commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and volunteer care, while aligning with the Port of Milford Haven’s core values of safety, collaboration, excellence, and sustainability.

Jo Lutwyche, Event and Fundraising Officer at Paul Sartori, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the Port of Milford Haven Community Fund for supporting our event volunteer team. These polo shirts will make a big difference – not just in how our volunteers are seen by the public, but in how they feel about their role. It reinforces their sense of purpose and pride in supporting our charity at events across Pembrokeshire.”

Rosie-Faye Hart, Community Relationship Officer at Paul Sartori continued: “The impact of this initiative extends beyond the visual look. Volunteers have expressed that uniform helps them feel more valued and confident, which in turn increases morale and retention. In time, we would like to offer additional items to increase comfort and for the varying weather conditions we have in Pembrokeshire.”

Emily Jones, Stakeholder Engagement Executive at the Port of Milford Haven, added: “Their dedication to compassionate care in our community is truly inspiring, and we are proud to play a small part in supporting their vital work.”

The charity offers an extensive range of volunteering opportunities for local people in not only their events team, but also within their charity shops throughout the county.
