Trustees at the Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock took time off from supervising the refurbishment work at the hall to present an honorary lifetime membership award to Mr. Ron Watts, ex-chairman and one of the original proposers of the Trust.

Although he has now reduced his voluntary work due to ill health, many people will know Ron from his links with a great many organisations and support this decision to honour a tireless worker for the benefit of the town.

He was previously honoured by the town council for his work as a councillor and in town organisations. He has served as Mayor and that along with his chairmanship of the Museum Trust were just some of many community services he undertook.

The Trust is particularly proud that along with Ron, as ex-Mayor and ex-chairman of the Trust, the trustee committee includes the current Mayor, four former Mayors and the current Deputy Mayor, all committed to ensuring that the Pater Hall Trust, supported by the town council who are the owners, continue to improve and develop the Pater Hall and that it remains the vital community centre at the heart of Pembroke Dock.
