Youngsters partying regularly on one of Tenby's beaches have been told to clean up their act by the town's Mayor.

Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane told her colleagues at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council that she was aware of a number of older pupils from the town's Greenhill School who were not cleaning up after themselves following parties on the South Beach.

"I have nothing against them having a party and a good time, but they have to clean up afterwards, as they've just being leaving bottles, litter and a lot of rubbish behind," she said, suggesting that the council write to the school and see if the 'Greenhill Environmental Committee Group' could organise a clean-up exercise around the area in the hope that their example may rub off on those offending.

"We implore them to have a little bit of pride in the town," added Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans.
