A new community is coming to life in Pembroke with more than 50 per cent of homes on a development in the town now occupied.

All 40 of the Persimmon Homes West Wales properties on the first phase at Martello Park have been sold, while a further 27 families have moved in on the development’s second phase.

The second phase of the Buttermilk Lane development will consist of 102 houses.

The housebuilder’s part exchange scheme has also proved popular in recent months, with home buyers Graham and Patricia Evans just one of the couples reaping its rewards.

Graham, 68, said: “Moving into my new dream home at Martello Park with my wife Patricia was a fantastic experience.

“After we had expressed an interest in our Clayton Corner property, within five working days, we had our existing property valued by two independent agents and had accepted a very fair price as an approved part exchange customer.
