Bank Holiday weekend saw significant issues with the lack of parking spaces in the Towns Moor car park, Narberth.
County Clr. Wynne Evans reported: "By 11 am on Saturday, every space in the car park was in use and this continued for the following few hours.
"The entrance to the car park was gridlocked, thus causing a build-up of traffic in the High Street, and the other feeder streets. Not only were engines overheating, but so were tempers of many who failed to find spaces."
He continued: "I fully accept that there were some sporting fixtures in the town, but clearly the town needs more spaces for parking. I am sure that many visitors to the town went elsewhere to do shopping, and this resulted in losses to our traders, who have to pay large business rates. Land for parking was identified some two years ago, and we as a town have to be pro-active in seeking investment in extra spaces and land purchase.
"I hope the traders on this occasion work with me to make sure this happens. I will be with county officers this coming week to raise my concerns on this matter."
