After asking the question on whether the county council intend to run a ‘park and ride’ scheme for Tenby next summer, local councillors were told this week that the authority were in the process of assessing ‘feedback’ on the matter.

Town councillors recently stated that they had received a lot of feedback from people disappointed that the park and ride service had been reduced, and said that it was important that the county council and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority found funding from somewhere, as it was such a vital asset for Tenby.

At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk told members that he had spoken to the county council’s senior traffic engineer, Ben Blake, who said that the authority were assessing feedback from this year.

“There is no budget idea in place for next year yet, and I was also informed that PCNPA had indicated that their budget would be stretched and might not be able to contribute to the scheme,” Mr. Davies told members
