Sir, Re. What has happened to Tenby pride (Observer, February 9). Walking regularly along the Marsh Road between The Green and Tenby Leisure Centre, I am saddened by the constant stream of litter, consisting of sandwich boxes, baguette bags, crisp packets, bottles, sweet wrappers and cigarette boxes. It is like a paper chase up towards and past the school gates and continuing up to the leisure centre. Also, the area immediately around the bench opposite the garage and Spar shop is a disgrace, littered with food packaging every day. Unfortunately, there is a lack of rubbish bins on the Green and along Marsh Road. Perhaps if there were more bins, people would be encouraged to use them, instead of throwing rubbish on the floor. Do people dispose of their litter the same way at home? So please PCC, let's have some action and start fining offenders; it just might make them think twice before dumping their rubbish in the streets and have some pride in Tenby.

P. Evans (Mrs.) Tenby.
