The annual pancake night organised by the Carew and and Cresswell Quay committee of Cancer Research was held at 'The Quay' on March 2. Lots of people enjoyed the pancakes which were prepared and cooked by Ros Beck and Billy James.
Raffle prize winners were: basket of fruit - Ros and Joe Mooney; chocs - Keith Williams; biscuits - Wendy Whitelock; wine - Luke Cole.
A grand total of £340 was made for Cancer Research.
Many thanks to Maurice and Janet for allowing the event to take place and to everyone else who helped make the evening such a success.
On a dry but cold March morning, the local committee held a coffee morning at Lawrenny Village Hall.
The event was well attended, with tea, coffee and home-made Welsh cakes provided.
The stalls consisted of Easter goodies, fresh vegetables, plants, food, household items and collectable china.

A total of £637.25 was made and grateful thanks are extended for the wonderful support this charity continues to receive within the community.
