Pancake Day was celebrated in a big way in Pembroke on Tuesday when the ladies of the Pembroke Committee of Macmillan Cancer Support made and sold nearly 800 pancakes during the morning. As well as a coffee morning at the Town Hall, pre-ordered pancakes were delivered to many shops and businesses in and around Main Street from trolleys brilliantly decorated with green and white balloons. This annual event proves to be more popular every year and the money raised helps to provide many services for cancer patients and their families in the Pembroke area.
