A charity shop worker from Kilgetty enjoyed a 'wonderful experience' recently when she was invited to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Marguerite Blumsum, who has worked for Oxfam in Carmarthen for 31 years, was nominated to attend the event for her many years of dedicated service with the branch of the charity shop.
She attended the afternoon event at the Palace along with her sister Marjorie, where around 2,000 other guests were also in attendance.
"It was a wonderful experience. We didn't get to speak to Her Majesty, but she did chat with a few of the guests who were there," said Marguerite, who once also worked for the Tindle owned newspaper, the Tooting Gazette.
