The collection of original art held by the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre has been significantly enhanced following the donation of a painting of a Sunderland flying boat by former Sunderlander Bertram Kingsnorth.

Bertram, who has happy memories of his time stationed at RAF Pembroke Dock in the 1950s, travelled from Ashford, Kent, to bring the painting to the centre where it was received by Bob Western, one of the volunteer team.

The painting, by Ron Gage, is a fine study of a 230 Squadron Sunderland in the air.

Joining Bertram was RAF colleague Bryan Mitchell, of Kilgetty, who is pictured (right) with Bertram and Bob Western. Pic. Peter Mitchell
