Drugs with a street value of over £30,000 have been seized in Pembrokeshire over the last year, it has been revealed.

The Pembrokeshire Proactive Team have also seized over £13,000 worth of cash as well as cars and a yacht of people involved in drugs in the county.

The drugs seized include over £11,500 of heroin, nearly £9,000 of ecstasy and over £4,000 worth of cocaine.

Their actions have led to people involved in drugs being jailed for 26 years, with numerous others still awaiting trial.

Superintendent Reg Bevan said: "Pembrokeshire doesn't have any more of a drug problem than any other similar county.

"However, one drug dealer on our streets is one too many. Though the proactive team specialise in targeting drug dealers, all our officers regularly carry out stop searches and warrants on people suspected to be involved in the drug industry.

"If you are a drug dealer, our message to you is simple - you are not welcome in Pembrokeshire and ourselves and the community are working together to target you.

"Drugs can cause misery in our communities and I would urge anyone with any information about drug dealing to contact us via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
