A very strong entry has once again been received for the fifth annual Milford Haven to Tenby, Pembrokeshire Classic Car and Motorbike Run to be held this coming Sunday.
The event, organised by Jeff and Sian Edwards, of Milford Haven, will start off from Milford early Sunday morning (10.30 am), with the 200 or so vehicles travelling 85 miles through the county via Haverfordwest, St. Davids and Fishguard, before starting to arrive in Tenby from around 1 pm, where they will be welcomed by the Mayor, Clr. Caroline Thomas. Members of the Rotary Club of Tenby will once again marshal the finish.
Among the vehicles taking part this year will be two military vehicles from the 14th Signal Regiment, Brawdy - the vehicles and soldiers who have recently returned from the Middle East will be in dessert colours.
Also attending is a stretch limo, which will carry the guest of honour, newly-elected Preseli AM, Tamsin Dunwoody-Kneafsey.
Mr. Edwards said that he would like to thank the Rotary Club for their valued assistance, along with Ruth and Matt Goldwait, of the Pam Pam Restaurant, for providing tea for all entrants (kindly served by ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Tenby). He also thanks Police Inspector Clarke and his officers in Tenby, particularly Sgt. Lloyd, Mr. Jeff Sutton, Pembrokeshire County Council, and the Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism for funding the road closure notice.
Tenby Police have asked that Tudor Square and High Street be kept clear of parked vehicles during the hours of the notice, 12.30 - 4.30 pm.
The organisers would also like to thank the public in advance for their patience and understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but hope that everyone will enjoy the spectacle of the day, which is being put on for the benefit of the town and county.
