Sir,
A few weeks ago you published a letter from me supporting the creation of jobs in the Bluestone development.
In my letter I asked two questions, namely:
How many of the opponents of Bluestone actually live and work in Pembrokeshire or live and are actively seeking work within the county?
How many of the opponents are retired or would be horrified if it was suggested that they should take employment?
I received a clear answer via a copy of the autumn 2003 News and Views letter of the Friends of the Pembrokeshire National Park.
And I quote: "What was interesting about our Bluestone referendum was the higher number of objections against the development from outside Wales".
If the National Park turn this application down now I suggest it be renamed 'The Outside of Wales National Park, or possibly The Keep Pembrokeshire Poor National Park'.
Incidentally, the number of votes against the development received by the 'friends' was less than a third of the jobs likely to be created.
