Pembrokeshire County Council has issued an update this evening in preparation for more icy conditions tomorrow (Monday):
“Following the sustained cold period and wintry showers today, icy conditions are reported across the County and will continue overnight, especially in locations where field run off is occurring and the sun is not reaching.
“Our teams will work through the night to treat road surfaces to mitigate the impact tomorrow. The weather conditions are likely to impact the morning commute and the possibility of potential school closures.
“We are focusing on primary and secondary routes, key junctions and responding to emergency services requests. We have also assisted with a number of road traffic collisions.
“Resources are stretched and we will not be able to attend to all calls. We will be gritting primary and secondary routes tonight and early tomorrow morning – delays may be possible.
“In total the gritting crews have treated more than 700km of road in the last 24hrs – and continue to do so.
“Members of the public are reminded to drive to the conditions, take care on roads and pavements, be mindful of black ice and consider whether journeys are essential.”

The PATCH charity has announced that there is a possibility that the Shop and Foodbank could be closed tomorrow, with the limited gritting that has taken place on the streets and back roads. The final decision will be made at 9am tomorrow morning.
Similarly, Pennar Hall, Pembroke Dock has announced that tomorrow's Warm Rooms has been cancelled as the paths around the hall are extremely dangerous owing to the freezing conditions.
