On the evening the Otters were outgunned by Bridgend Athletic who will be relegated after just one season in division one. The Bridgend team crossed for eight tries compared to four by the Otters and had their fullback and captain Stuart Morris brought his kicking boots the scoreline would have been higher. Morris missed five conversion attempts plus one penalty and outside-half Stephen Lewis also missed out on two conversion attempts. During the first 20 minutes, the visitors attacked strongly, but Athletic scored first when fullback Stuart Morris came into the line and went over for an unconverted try after picking up a return pass from left wing Adie Tarantino. Five minutes later, Gareth James kicked a penalty for Narberth, but shortly afterwards winger Rob Coles showed that he had recovered from a bad early season injury to race over the corner for another unconverted try. Narberth equalised minutes before the interval following a scrum on the halfway line. Scrum-half Adrian Killa slipped the ball to fullback Gareth James who cut down the middle of the park to cross under the posts for a try which he converted himself. The Bridgend team took the lead again at the start of the second half when winger Adie Tarantino kicked ahead and retrieved the ball to score an unconverted try. Rob Coles again had a chance to show his pace when he picked up an attempted chip ahead by Narberth replacement winger Tom Dennis. Coles set off on a run from 60 metres to touch down for a try converted by Stuart Morris. The Athletic team increased the lead when outside-half Stephen Lewis broke through the Narberth defence to set up a try for flanker Chris Whitcombe. Substitute hooker Fifitipuku Faletau was influential in leading a rolling maul by the Otters which ended with prop Barry Davies touching down in the corner for a try converted from the touchline by Gareth James. Stuart Morris scored another unconverted try for the Bridgend team, but Fifitipuku Faletau gave some cheer to the Narberth supporters, when he finished off a move started by Adrian Killa from a tapped penalty. Gareth James converted and the visitors were just eight points behind. However, Rob Coles completed an excellent hat-trick and Stuart Morris also went over for his third try for the Bridgend team. In an all action finish, Narberth flanker Colin Davies, who had an excellent game, crossed for an unconverted try halfway out to complete the scoring for the evening. The Bridgend team were awarded a last minute penalty which Stuart Morris managed to drop kick from 30 metres, but the score was disallowed by the referee who had blown for time. Narberth fielded: Gareth James, Nick Jones, Sion Brace, Andrew Bowen, Mark Davies, Scott Penney (Tom Dennis), Adrian Killa, Barry Davies, Kevin Allen (Fifitipuku Faleatau), Alan Phillips, capt., David Ebsworth (Emori Katalau), Jason Jennings, Gary Denver (Dafydd Bowen), Gareth Bennett and Colin Davies.
