Pictured is six-year-old Osian who recently conquered Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales at 3,650 feet.

He completed the ascent accompanied by his mum and dad and carried his own rucksack. He took the Ryd Ddu path, which is one of the longest routes as it starts near the foot of the mountain.

Osian's mum Deonne said: "We never imagined Osian would make it to the top. We started the walk with some friends thinking we would probably turn back leaving them to complete the ascent."

However, Osian steadily worked his way up the mountain reaching the halfway mark where he could clearly see the top.

From that point, summit fever hit and there was no turning back! Everyone was really excited at having made it so far. A narrow ridge with steep drops either side and deep views into the valley separated them from the peak. An exciting clamber along the ridge led to a final scramble to the summit.

Osian was greeted with rare clear views of North Wales and enjoyed some Welsh cakes in the mountain top café in order to build his strength for the descent. Osian was so pleased that he had made it to the top that he sang songs all the way down the mountain in the pouring rain.
