St Teilos Primary school will be taking part in the ‘Orange Wig Day’ on Friday, May 25, to raise awareness and support people affected by and at risk of severe allergies and anaphylaxis.
Daniella Sloan, whose daughter six-year-old Ava attends the school and has serious food allergies, is a volunteer for the Anaphylaxis Campaign.
“My daughter is allergic to egg and nuts and I will be setting up a local support group in Tenby this Friday (May 18) to share awareness of and get the town and businesses joining in with this,” she explained.
The launch of the support group will take place at the If Creative Studios, at The Paddock, in Tenby, between 10 am and 12 noon.
The Orange Wig Day will raise funds as well as offer education to children and adults about the seriousness of anaphylaxis.
