After a very positive meeting with  representatives of Pembrokeshire County Council's pollution control office, the Environment Agency, and Dr. Harris from the office of the National Public Health Service, Narberth's county councillor says he is 'upbeat' and 'optimistic' about solving pollution problems at Carding Mill Lane and around the playing area. Said Clr. Wynne Evans following Monday's meeting: "I am upbeat and optimistic that all parties are aware of the urgency of this problem and work should hopefully start in the next few months." Clr. Evans will also be meeting shortly with members of the town's Skate Group and Pembrokeshire County Council's engineering department to look at drainage work to be carried out at the play area, where the skate park is to be built.
