Sir,
In the Observer of January 1, you carried an article on page 6 about the South Pembrokeshire Hunt, which raised some interesting points.
It appears that Meyrick Brown, the author of the article, is attracted by numbers, but fails to quote the most important ones.
In the most recent poll by Ipsos MORI, it was found that when people were asked if fox hunting should be made legal again, most answered NO - in rural areas 84 per cent and in urban areas 82 per cent.
This proves that opposition to fox hunting is at a record level as more rural residents and Conservative MPs than ever before, join the fight against the reintroduction of blood sports.
