The Farmers' Union of Wales in Pembrokeshire has extended an invitation to all farmers who are, or have been, in milk production to attend a presentation by Ian Potter, of Ian Potter Associates, on Monday, February 24, at 12.45 pm at the Nantyffin Motel, Llandissilio.

The purpose of the open meeting is for current milk producers and non-producing quota holders to find out more about the CAP reform proposals, the implications of the Thomsen case and current quota trading.

"The proposals which have been put forward could have serious implications for future milk production and quota trading practices," said Robert Voyle, chairman of the Pembrokeshire FUW Milk and Dairy Produce Committee.

"It is therefore important that producers attend the meeting to hear, for themselves first hand, the facts about the proposals and to voice their opinions before legislation is formally put in place."

Further information regarding the meeting can be obtained from the FUW county office on (01437) 762913.
