Sir,

It is with amazement I find that my elected representative, M. Evans, was not aware of a nondescript person, P. Edwards, of Rhyl, who seems to have the right to dismiss challenges to parking tickets.

Who is this individual and what legal qualifications does he have? Has he been before a selection committee? If so, why does my elected representative not know?

I must point out that the people who have been given enforcement are incompetent and hold the law in contempt. I refer, of course, to the mass fraud perpetrated on the ratepayer of Pembrokeshire in selling more parking tickets than there are spaces. Should you want to hear further contempt for the law that Pembrokeshire County Council holds, I will gladly produce it.

Mr. Hart MP, in the interests of the ratepayers, take the enforcement from these incompetents and give it back to the police where it should be in any democratically structured society, or perhaps we are now in the grip of a plague of civil servants.

I request a full independent enquiry into the way PPC is run. Jobs for the boys, nepotism, incompetence, and a return of all monies taken for parking permits. All residents of both Tenby and Haverfordwest should have a free parking permit.

Ron Murphy,

Trafalgar Road,

Tenby.
