'Only West Boys Aloud' is the 'West ' section of the 'Only Boys Aloud' choir, who shot to worldwide fame following their amazing performances on the hit ITV show 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The choir will be led by team captain Craig Yates (of Only Men Aloud) and will feature boys from Cross Hands, Neath and Bridgend Boys Aloud Choirs, and in keeping with the OBA ethos of giving opportunities to young people, Tenby Rotary Club is delighted to be inviting very talented young musicians and singers from Pembrokeshire to take part to showcase their undoubted talent in what promises to be an excellent concert.

Formed in March 2010 by its father choir Only Men Aloud, OBA is designed to encourage 14-19-year-old young men in South Wales to effect some positive change in their lives.

Also taking part in the concert are two pupils from Ysgol Preseli, who won the Pembrokeshire zone final of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year, Sioned Llewelyn, (soprano), and Siriol Jenkins (piano), representing the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland).

Seventeen-year-old Sioned lives in Efailwen. A pupil at Ysgol Y Preseli, Crymych, she is currently studying 'A Level' in Music, Drama and Welsh. She has been singing from an early age and competes regularly in Eisteddfodau. In 2009 Sioned competed at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod where she won the girls solo under 16.

As well as singing individually, Sioned has also had the opportunity to sing with The National Youth Choir of Wales and the Three Counties Choir. She hopes to commence a vocal degree course next September at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff.

Siriol Jenkins, from Wiseman's Bridge, has been enjoying increasing musical success since winning the open piano section at the Valero Pembrokeshire Schools Music Festival at the end of 2011. During 2012 she went on to win the county round of the Urdd Eisteddfod, followed by a third place at the Urdd National Eisteddfod in north Wales in June. Soon afterwards she celebrated gaining a distinction in her grade eight piano exam.

Earlier this year she won the senior piano recital trophy at the Abertawe Festival of Young Musicians.

Still only 14, she is a pupil at Ysgol y Preseli. While she regards piano as her main instrument, she also sings and plays harp and cello. In fact, she will be representing Pembrokeshire in her age-group harp competition at the Urdd National Eisteddfod.

She is a member of a number of orchestras and ensembles at county and school level. She has appeared as a piano soloist in various showcases of young talent staged by Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club and represented the county at the South Wales round of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year competition.

The concert also features other young talented musicians from Pembrokeshire, Lily Whitehurst, violin, (Tenby), Lee Mottram, clarinet and Mirelle Ryan, soprano, (both Pembroke) and the Greenhill School Jazz Band.
