With only two weeks to go before Tenby Winter Carnival on November 26, the organisers, Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism, would like to remind everyone about the change of route. Because of road works in Lower Frog Street, the parade will not be going outside the town walls this year. The floats will assemble at Butts Field at 5.15 pm for judging and leave at 6 pm and travel along The Norton into High Street, Tudor Square, Church Street, St. Mary's Street, The Paragon, Cresswell Street and back to Tudor Square for presentation of prizes, before heading off up High Street and back to Butts Field. The organisers and police would appreciate the co- operation of those who park their cars along the route, particularly in Church Street, St. Mary's Street, The Paragon and Cresswell Street, by parking elsewhere whilst the carnival parade travels the route. They would also like to remind the shopkeepers about the competition for the best dressed 'Christmas' window and staff fancy dress. It would be appreciated if all entrants could have their windows dressed by Thursday, November 24, to allow judging to take place before the day of the carnival. The staff fancy dress judging will take place on the day of the carnival. Meanwhile, walking/fancy dress entrants are reminded to meet at the De Valence at 5.15 pm for judging and will join the carnival parade by the Royal Lion and Gatehouse Hotels. Entry forms are available from the De Valence, Morris Brothers or Rembrandt. All last year's winners are asked to please return their trophies/shields to Rembrandt as soon as possible. If anyone is interested in helping with the carnival, please contact Ann on (01834) 842345 or Elaine on (01834) 844175.
