A budding young writer from Dyffryn Taf School in Whitland has just enjoyed a week's work experience at the offices of the Tenby, Narberth and Whitland Observer.

Fifteen-year-old Nathaniel Davies, who lives in Narberth, accompanied our staff on various assignments and also got to learn about different aspects of the newspaper industry and see how the 'paper is put together.

"I have learnt a lot at the Observer for example how adverts are set and also I have been out with reporters taking pictures of events and stories that are going to be featured in the 'paper," said Nathaniel who is studying history, art, RE, and geography for his GCSEs.

"I chose the Observer for work experience because I think I would like to have a job involving writing when I am older.

"It has been a useful and interesting experience, and has given me a great opportunity to help me develop my writing and designing skills," he added.
