A new children’s book telling the tale of ‘Tiny the ferret’ who keeps escaping his home in Saundersfoot has just hit the bookshelf.

The book ‘Tiny’s Huge Adventure’ by local resident Mandy Allsop provides a partly fictitious account based on what her pet may get up to when he escapes her home in the Saundersfoot area.

“The book started out as a laugh after the first time Tiny the ferret escaped, and was found safe and sound,” said Mandy.

“When he escaped again from The Ridgeway in Saundersfoot, and was found in Pleasant Valley, the story had to continue, so I bought a stuffed toy (Tiny’s stunt double) and took photos in all the places Tiny had been!

“His adventures have given me so much material - he’s the gift that keeps on giving.

The book is £4.99 and is currently available at Ocean Hair in Saundersfoot.

“We are hoping the book will be available in braille too. All proceeds from that version will go to guide dogs for the blind.

“The next book will be available soon, when Tiny escapes and ends up in Saundersfoot School!” added Mandy, who has dedicated the book to all those who have helped Tiny get home safe and sound recently!
