Abandoned beagle Holby finds loving home in new book: ‘Holby Finds a Home: The Adventures of Holby’ (published by AuthorHouse UK) is based on the true story of an abandoned and unloved beagle named Holby. Suffused with fun and love, Sue Ding pairs colorful illustrations with stories of Holby’s adventures from the day she was adopted.
“There are so many pets abandoned, abused, neglected when circumstances don’t suit a family anymore. Pets are for life, not for a purpose, season nor reason,” says Ding. “People (don’t) realise when we have pets, we are their world. We are all that they know. Whilst we may have friends, work, other families, commitments, etc, to our pets, we are their world.”
Holby’s adventures will remind readers how important a role pets play in the lives of families. Ding hopes readers interested in animal welfare as well as the general boundless energy, mischief and loyalty of dogs will find Holby a treat.
An excerpt from ‘Holby Finds a Home’ - Holby says dogs are family. They need love and protection just like people. Please be kind to animals because they too can feel sad, lonely and scared just like people.
A soft cover 24-page book, ‘Holby Finds a Home’ is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
About the author: Sue Ding lives with her husband and Holby in London. She loves running and is a frequent marathon runner across the globe.
