Reports of an oil spillage on Tenby’s Castle Beach on Monday, proved to be unfounded, after the area was given the ‘all clear’.
After a member of the public contacted the Observer stating that they had spotted a possible pollution spillage in the sea next to the beach, an officer for Natural Resources Wales (NRW) carried out a comprehensive search right across the resort’s beaches.
“There was no evidence of oil, but it could have been algae as there are some small pockets floating about, but generally the sea and the beaches are glorious today!” environment officer for NRW Bob Phillips said.
