Saturday saw the official opening of Summerhill Farm Shop and Village Stores. "We had a fantastic opening with approximately 340 people visiting throughout the day," said Luke Rogers whose family run the business. "Although the weather wasn't kind, it didn't seem to put people off coming to have a look and sample of what we have to offer. "Visitors commented on how they enjoyed meeting some of the smaller local and Welsh producers and tasting their products." Santa meanwhile was inundated with children posting their Christmas wish lists. Unfortunately, a large number of the wish lists had no addresses so he will only be able to reply to those that did. Added Luke: "We would like to thank Roger Harris, proprieter of the Amroth Arms, for his kind words and unveiling our new shop also all those who supported us on December 1 for our opening day and hope that you will continue to support us."
