Objections have been raised to a major residential development in Narberth.
At a recent planning meeting, town councillors voiced concerns over a proposal for six houses and 48 apartments on the site of the former Brains Depot in Spring Gardens.
Councillors' objections are due to the visual appearance, the density of the dwellings which could lead to overcrowding, lack of privacy due to being a closely-knit development, loss of amenities and a healthy environment to existing residents in Northfield Road.
Other objections were on the grounds of an inadequate insfrastructure to deal with the suggested number of buildings being added to the already overstretched sewerage system and the high density of the development would set an undesirable precedent for the town. The committee was also concerned as on an adjoining development for 44 houses, only one property they said had been sold.
