Aged 80 years and born and brought up in Sardis, Kilgetty, Gillian passed away peacefully at Withybush General Hospital on February 6, 2022.

Over the years Gillian had numerous jobs, from home-help, milk delivery person, baker and cleaner to housewife and mother.

Her beloved garden was a particular interest. Most of all her family and friends were very important to her and this was shown in the care and support she gave to them.

Predeceased by her late husband, William (Bill) Thomas, she leaves to mourn: Samantha Blair, Julie James (daughters), Rebecca, Rachelle and Natasha Blair (grand-daughters), William and Thomas James (grandsons), Zachary (great-grandson), Antony James (son-in-law), Sylvia and John Bates (niece and nephew).

The funeral took place on March 2 at Sardis Congregational Chapel, Kilgetty and was followed by interment in the Chapel Cemetery, when Revd. Norman Gilbert officiated. The bearers were John Bates, Antony James, William and Thomas James. Afterwards family and friends gathered at The Helm, Pembroke Dock for refreshments.
