The funeral took place last week of Mrs. Sue Cooke at St. Mary’s Church, Tenby, and Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberthg.

She leaves to mourn sons Matt and Daniel, daughter-in-law Paula, grandchildren Jennifer, Megan and Holly-Elsie, great-grandson Kayden, partner Steve and numerous family.

Bearers were Willy Cooke, Jamie Cooke, Tony Ormond and Big Dave Williams.

Arrangements with Steve and Richard have been made to scatter Sue’s ashes into the sea off the back of Caldey.

Funeral arrangements were carried out by W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd., The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby, or Landsker House, Station Road, Narberth.

Mr. J. C. Hiles

Llandissilio

As reported last week, the death occurred peacefully on Saturday, May 14, at Ridgeway Care Home, Llawhaden, of Mr. John Charles Hiles. He was aged 79.

John will be sadly missed by his wife Claire, daughters Jane, Carol, Anne, Susan and Katie

John’s favourite hobby/pastime was all types of fishing and he was a past member of Saundersfoot Sea Angling Club.

The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, May 31, at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, at 3.15 pm (no black attire by request of the family).

MR. K. G. J. THOMAS

COSHESTON

The death occurred peacefully at East Park Care Centre, Jeffreyston, on Saturday, May 7, of Mr. Kenneth George James Thomas, of Cosheston. He was aged 85.

A native of England, Kenneth was a car sprayer by trade, working for various companies, before being employed at Pembroke Power Station from the 1970s until early retirement at age 55. Following that, he undertook part-time work on security at Castlemartin until retirement.

His main interests included being a member of the RAOB Club, Kilgetty, and of Pembroke Probus Club. He was also a keen darts player for the Cross Inn, Broadmoor.

Predeceased by his wife Audrey May Thomas, family left to mourn are daughter Lynette Morgan, son-in-law Mick Morgan, granddaughters Danielle Kilpatrick and Donna French, grandsons-in-law Wayne Kilpatrick and Nick French, great-granddaughter Isobel Kilpatrick, brother and sister-in-law Les and Anne Thomas and family.

The funeral took place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, on May 20. Officiating was the Rev. David Faulkner.

The death occurred peacefully at home on Monday, May 16, of Mr. Ronald Morley Rowlands, affectionately known as Ronnie, aged 86 years, of Summerhill.

Beloved husband of Mercy, dearly-loved dad of Peter and Wendy and father-in-law of Joanne, cherished grandad of James and Huw.

The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 31, at St. Elidyr’s Church, Amroth, at 2.30 pm, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

As reported in our last issue, the death occurred peacefully at Glangwili Hospital last week of Mr. John Henry Noel Griffiths (affectionately known as Whippet), of Knowling Mead, Tenby.

Aged 79, he had suffered a short illness.

As well as his wife Iris, he is survived by daughter Mandy, Robert, grandchildren Lloyd, Robyn and Aurora and sister Delsia. He was predeceased by his son Nigel 13 years ago.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, May 31, when a service at St. Mary’s Church, Tenby, at 10.30 am, will be followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth, at 11.30 am.

The death occurred peacefully at Woodland Lodge Care Home, Gumfreston, on Saturday, May 21, of Mr. Terry Rees, aged 80 years of Kilgetty, and formerly of Front Street, Pembroke Dock.

Devoted and loving husband of Joyce, dearly-loved dad of Brian and Deb, treasured grandfather and great-grandfather, much-loved brother and uncle.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 3, at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, at 1.45 pm.

The death occurred peacefully at Withybush Hospital on Sunday, May 22, of Mrs. Barbara Mary Sherlock, aged 78 years, of St Patricks Hill, Llanreath, Pembroke Dock.
