The death occurred peacefully on April 2 at Brooklands Nursing Home, Saundersfoot, of Mrs. Lilian Gweneira Jones. She was aged 78.

Lilian was predeceased by her husband Cliff, but is survived by children Philip and Susan and grandchildren Jack, Luke, Emily and Brooke.

The funeral service takes place on Wednesday, April 13, at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, at 1 pm.

Beloved husband, father, grandad and a friend to everyone, who had all the time to help whenever you needed it no matter who you were.

Derek will be greatly missed for his laughter, grumpiness, kindness and most of all love.

As previously reported, the death occurred at home on February 25 of Mrs. Rita Margary Freda Waters, of Belmont, 20 Northfield Road, Narberth.

A native of Tumble, during her working life she had been a nursing sister at Glangwili and Morriston Hospitals, a district midwife in the Gwendraeth Valley and a nursing sister at Llandovery College.

Among her main interests were travel and holidays, gardening, reading and crosswords, television and soaps.

As well as her partner Max Walters, family left to mourn are daughter Liz Scale, son-in-law Gareth Scale, grandson and girlfriend Llyr Scale and Katie Thomas; nephew and wife Roy and Wendy Jones, great-nephews Adrian Adams, Michael and Andrew Jones.

The funeral service took place at St. Andrew’s Church, Narberth, and was followed by interment in the church cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Graham Lloyd, while bearers were Michael and Andrew Jones, Llyr Scale and Marc Hughes.

During the service, a poem, ‘Do not stand at my grave and weep’, was read by Llyr Scale.
