The family left to mourn and principal mourners are his wife of 46 years Rita, daughters and sons-in-law Anita and Simon, Helen and Darren, grandchildren Megan, Rhys, Hywel and Evan, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and other family friends too numerous to mention.

Aged 73, he was a native of Pembroke Dock and worked at Pembroke Dock Power Station until taking early retirement, after which he worked seasonally at Kiln Park and Oakwood until full-time retirement.

Indeed, Dave’s main interest and enjoyment were his grandchildren Megan, Rhys, Hywel and Evan, who he had many happy hours with.

The funeral took place at St. Mary’s Church, Begelly, on August 28, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Father Paul officiated.

Bearers were Kenneth (brother), Darren and Simon (sons-in-law) and Jason (nephew).

Due to Dave’s love of gardening, there were immediate family flowers which resulted in a superb cascade of colours in the numerous wreaths received, making a fitting tribute to a devoted family man who will be missed daily by all who loved him.
