As part of its 25th birthday celebrations, Wales' most popular theme park is inviting its older visitors to become a child again.

For selected dates throughout the Whitsun Holidays, adult visitors will be able to turn back the clock and pay a child's admission price to Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire.

The 'Be a Child' offer means that rather than paying the standard £21 admission price, visitors who book online will be treated like children and charged the £15 junior admission rate.

"We wanted to come up with a fun way of saying thank you to our visitors which tied in with the 25th anniversary of the park being opened and we came up with the idea of the 'Be a Child Again' campaign," said Oakwood's Anthony Crowdie.

"Theme parks are all about releasing the inner child in all of us and this is the perfect excuse for all us adults to let our hair down for a day and just enjoy ourselves.

"As part of the celebrations, and to help visitors get in the mood, many of our staff will also be swapping their work clothes for school uniforms throughout the holidays," he added.

To take advantage of the offer, the visitor will need to purchase their ticket via the Oakwood website and select a date within the validity period to visit at the lower price.

The offer is valid for the first two calendar weeks in June.

Set in 80 acres of spectacular Pembrokeshire countryside, Oakwood is one of the UK's leading theme parks with more than 30 exhilarating attractions; including four world class rides to enjoy.

Exciting added attractions for 2012 include extended late-night opening in July and August and the return of the hugely popular High Diving Show for the summer. The park is also planning a series of special events and celebrations marking its 25th anniversary this year.
