Golden Manor Nursery's open day took place last Saturday, with thanks going to all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes or helped in other ways. "The open day was a great turn out and the weather was nice. Lots of old, current and new families came," said Amanda from the nursery which is located in Pembroke. "We raised £480 after expenses which will be used for a new shed and outdoor resources. We'd like to thank everyone for all their support," she added. Thanks go to the following: Dinosaur Park, The Red Rose Inn , Pembroke Castle, Mott's Butchers and Delicatessen, Harley-Kates Hair and Beauty Salon, Jabber Wocky, Wisebuys, Lloyds Pharmacy, Pennar stores, Manor Park, Heatherton, Upton Farm, Clean Tech Kilgetty, Folly Farm, Ashdale Nursing Home, Slimming World, Tees 'R Us Pembroke Dock and Bush Hill Garage. Thanks also go to all staff who worked as volunteers and parents who donated cakes and teddy bears. The open day featured displays from the local police, fire engine and West Wales ambulance services. Stalls included hook-a-duck, face painting, glitter tattoos, teddy raffle, lucky dip, ice cream factory, score a goal, cake stall, guess the teddy's name. Other stalls featured were Sparkle Tree from Haverfordwest, Spoilt Butterfly, Like it Love it and a hand-made costumes and accessories stall. Kelly Williams School of Dance gave some great demonstrations and the children were amazing.
