Twelve beaches in Pembrokeshire have won Green Coast Awards it has been announced - more than any other county in Wales.

They are given to beaches for their natural beauty, clean environment and water quality.

Earlier this month it was revealed that 33 Pembrokeshire beaches had won Seaside Awards - the most in the UK.

The Green Coast Award is a symbol of excellence that recognises:

• excellent water quality

• high environmental standards

• good management

• community involvement.

The Green Coast beaches are Cwm-yr-Eglwys, Abereiddy, Caerfai, St. Brides Haven, Martin's Haven, Marloes, West Dale, Broadhaven (south), Barafundle, Manorbier, Penally and Coppet Hall.
