Saturday saw the climax of the November Challenge, with hundreds of people joining in along the 30-mile route, finishing on Saundersfoot Harbour.
Matthew Evans is the founder of November Challenge and he said afterwards: “It has been an incredible day. So many people running for so many different causes and reasons. The highlight is always when you hit four, two and one-mile to go and all the children join in the run. They are ultimately why we do this, to inspire and encourage children and families to get up and out the house for 10-20 minutes every day.”
The November Challenge has raised thousands of pounds over the past three years supporting Thyroid Cancer, CALM and Challenge Aid, and building a school in Kabira in Nairobi.
This year also saw a record number of Beast finishers - four. This brings the roll of honour to six people in total over three years managing to finish one of the toughest challenges out there.
Matthew Evans, Billy Connor, Mike Hughes and David Gosling all completed 465 miles of running in November alone; 189 miles in the final week and all four leading the pack around the 30-mile course on Saturday.
Sponsorship is still coming in and donations can be made via the website www.novemberchallenge.com
