Tenby's all-weather lifeboat was launched shortly before 5 pm last Thursday after a teenager thought that he saw a rowing type boat with people aboard, washing up on rocks on the Tenby side of Caldey Island.

The ALB immediately launched and quickly arrived at the island. Whilst the Tamar class vessel searched the area, the 'Y' boat was launched to search in close to the rocks.

After thoroughly searching the area, the 'Y' boat was recovered and the ALB proceeded towards Lydstep to see if any vessels had recently arrived there.

With nothing found at Lydstep and nobody reported missing, the boat returned to station.
