Sir,

On June 12, a meeting was convened by Tenby Town Council, of what they described as 'Key Groups' to discuss the future of the Tenby traffic scheme. I have been asked by a number of townspeople to explain my absence! My response to this query has been to say, "No one informed me or invited me."

It is of considerable concern to me that, as one of the two county members for Tenby, I was not informed that a meeting was to be held, or invited. I have recently asked the chief executive of the county council to ensure that at the very least the two Tenby members are involved in discussing the future of the scheme, only to find out that the town council themselves fail to do so.

It would appear that not only do Pembrokeshire County Council exclude elected members from discussing this issue, but also the town council. Michael Williams, Harding Street, Tenby
