Not in my Neighbourhood week kicked-off in Pembrokeshire with over 280 people being tested for contact with drugs.
The week, which began on Monday and runs until today (Friday), started early in Haverfordwest with officers out with an Ion scanner in the town on Friday night.
The scanner can identify traces of drugs and 282 people were scanned in The Castle between 8 pm and midnight.
A total of 49 swabs were found to show positive traces of drugs and one person was arrested for possession of cocaine.
Inspector Gareth Thomas said: "The Ion scanner can give us evidence which we can then use to search a person.
"We are pleased that only one person of all we swabbed was found to be in possession of illegal substances.
"I would like to thank The Castle and the people out on Friday night for their co-operation in this operation which will be repeated."
The operation was just one of the events taking place this week.
Throughout the week, officers have also been going into schools talking to young people about anti-social behaviour, how to stay safe on Hallowe'en and the dangers of fireworks and the neighbourhood policing teams will be out in supermarkets talking about the issues.
Traffic wardens have also been out in force targeting areas of public concern and the DVLA has been targeting illegal vehicles.
