Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has teamed up with Radio Pembrokeshire to search for the people who have made an outstanding contribution to the National Park so they can be recognised with a Local Hero Award.
Nominations are being invited for the award, which will be presented to the people or organisations which have helped support the authority's work in conserving and promoting the Park for all to enjoy.
National Park Authority chief executive Tegryn Jones, said: "We look forward to receiving a range of applications in 2015 and also to the opportunity to celebrate and recognise the work of the many individuals, businesses and organisations which support the Park's purposes.
"Those who volunteer here, make their homes and run their businesses in Pembrokeshire are an integral part of what makes this Park and its communities so special. This award scheme gives the authority a chance to let them know how much we appreciate their contribution."
Projects may include those that are aimed at conserving or enhancing the Park's landscape (including the built and historic environment) and wildlife, promoting public enjoyment or understanding of the Park, or promoting cultural conservation/socio-economic wellbeing of the local community.
Last year, the award was presented to the local representatives of Surfers Against Sewage in recognition of their efforts to protect the Pembrokeshire Coast's oceans and beaches.
The deadline for nominations is February 8 and the lucky winners will be presented with their awards at a special ceremony at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel on February 26.
Projects must be located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and should have been completed during 2014.
Members and employees of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority may not themselves enter projects which they have carried out, but they may nominate others. Entries cannot be accepted where the authority is a main partner or major professional adviser in the project.
