THE Torch Theatre Company presents Noises Off by Michael Frayn. Noises Off is perhaps one of the most well-known of British comedies and certainly the funniest of the last 25 years.
Since 1982, when it won the London Evening Standard Award for Best Comedy, it has been performed by countless theatre companies all over the world and ran for six years in the West End before transferring to Broadway.
With breakneck pace and a rich gallery of characters, Michael Frayn's brilliantly witty farce follows the on and off stage antics of a touring company as they stumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of the sex comedy, Nothing On.
Everything that can go wrong does, as the cast desperately try to hang on to their lines, their performances and the furniture... resulting in a terrifying descent into chaos. It is directed by Peter Doran, with design by Sean Crowley and lighting by Dan Jones.
