Following last week's call from Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, for a radical rethink of the residents parking scheme throughout Tenby, councillors embarked on a walkabout at one of the problem areas in Heywood Court.

"Having gone to see the problems for myself at Heywood Court, I think that fellow councillors who attended the walkabout would agree it was a bit of an eye opener," said Clr. Mrs. Lane at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.

"There was absolutely no logic to some of the areas where residents parking bays have been introduced in that estate and even some of the residents that we spoke to on the day aren't happy with the situation," added Clr. Paul Rapi.

Clr. Mrs. Lane suggested that it would be a good idea to cover the whole of the town on more walkabouts to look at other residents parking areas and document the problems to pass on to Pembrokeshire County Council.
