Dear sir,

With reference to the article in Friday's Observer regarding the proposed recycling project at Templeton, the planning application stated that the building referred to was a field hospital.

On the record plan site reference for RAF Templeton, January 1943 to June 1945, the building is marked as being the communal dining room. (Plan No. 54, Drawing No. 4068 / 41, Type of building - permanent brick). The building contractors was a firm called Kent and Sussex. There were four other sites plus a WAAF site spread around RAF Templeton.

There is no mention of a field hospital on these plans.
