The 9th Annual RNLI Fundraising Quiz devised by Pembroke Guild member Cynthia Field, sponsored by RWE Generation, together with a quiz launch coffee morning in May, raised £1089.70.

Quiz winner Mrs. Margaret Thomas visited the RWE control room to be presented with her £25 winning cheque by Cynthia Field and Mair Lewis.

Mrs. Thomas generously donated her cheque back to the charity.

Mrs. Sallie Brace, quiz winner from Broadmoor, unable to attend the presentation, also donated her £25 winning cheque back to the RNLI.

A huge thank you to both of these ladies on behalf of Pembroke Guild and the RNLI and to the many entrants taking part, some sending lovely letters of appreciation too.

Thanks to you all, RWE sponsorship of the prize money and quiz publication, the £1089.70 funds raised go to the RNLI.

Thanks also to several local businesses, Pembroke and Pembroke Dock libraries and Guild members for their quiz sales; Jennie McIntosh and Tamzin Lewis for their very precise marking of the the Quiz.

Pembroke Guild’s annual RNLI quiz was the brilliant fundraising idea of our quiz author Cynthia Field, sponsoring the cost herself for the first two years prior to RWE kindly taking over. This nine-year sponsorship has produced total funds of over £9,000 for the RNLI, with no expense to the charity. Cynthia is currently producing a quiz to be released on May 30, 2019. RWE kindly providing sponsorship yet again.
