The final of the Texaco Blindfold Bowling 2003 was played on Sunday night with seven teams battling it out for the Championship Shield.

The Crymych Cowboys, Haverfordwest Town Council, Royal Mail, Pembroke Dock, Night Owl Nightclub, Haverfordwest MVC, Pembroke Town Council and the Rose and Crown, Fishguard, all donned their blindfolds to try and knock down as many pins as possible without their sight.

The games resulted in Night Owl Nightclub being the Pembrokeshire champions.

Trophies were also presented to Lloyds Pharmacy, Neyland, who raised the most money from a team, Cartref Care Home, Pembroke, who had the wooden spoon for the lowest scoring team, and Linda Fairbairn from Fairfield Nursing Home, who was the top individual fund-raiser.

This year's 11th anniversary saw 59 teams taking part, raising a fantastic £12,000 for RNIB Cymru. This money will ensure that much needed services will continue to be provided for people who are visually impaired in Pembrokeshire.

RNIB Cymru's manager Christine Morgan would like to thank all teams for their continued generosity, Joyce Wonnacott for helping to organise the event, Phil Thompson, of Texaco, for their sponsorship, and the support of CC2000 manager.
