Nick Thomas, of Tenby, was a talented and much respected musician who sadly passed away all too soon earlier this year. A group of Nick’s friends and fellow musicians, led by Bob Clark, organised a gig in celebration of his life in Church House during November’s Tenby Blues Festival with the assistance of the festival organisers.

A packed audience witnessed a marvellous performance of Nick’s favourite songs, played by local musicians who had worked alongside him over the years.

A collection taken at the gig raised over £200 for MIND, a charity chosen by Nick’s family and friends. A sum that was doubled by Tenby Blues Festival, with the result that a cheque for £457 was handed over to MIND last week at their offices in Haverfordwest.

Chris Osborne said: “Nick was one of Tenby Blues Festival’s special people - we shall miss him forever more.”
