Welsh Cup U16 school finals: On a grey misty day in Swansea, the Greenhill hockey girls got off to a good start and made some great tackles and saves in their first match (writes Jonathan Morris). By half-time it was all to play for, being only one goal behind. In the second half, Rebekah Gwyther came out to score an excellent goal and bring the score to one-all, but pressure from Bishopton managed to get the additional goal and end the match 2-1. Player-of-the-match went to Rebekah Gwyther.
As match two started, the girls went in strong and Abi Merrick scored a great goal putting them in the lead, closely followed by another scored by Anna De'vall. Half-time the score was 2-2. At the start of the second half, the girls were on the charge and lead to Rebekah Gwyther scoring the winning goal. Player-of-the-match went to Hannah Taylor.
In the final game, the girls needed a win to get them through to score and put them in the lead. At half-time the game was one-all, and then in the second half, Crickhowell managed to score again, 2-1, but a great effort from Leah Thomas scored an equaliser. The girls gave it their all as the clock ticked away, but the game finished with a draw and sadly meant they were knocked out.
The girls played amazing and finished in the top five schools in Wales, well done!

Film Club
A lot of Spielberg fans were disappointed when the '80s ended and the movie industry moved on to bigger and better things (writes Josh Veale). They enjoyed movies like E.T. that involved aliens and had a certain warm feel to it. So film club decided to reward such fans with the new Spielberg movie 'Super 8'. Set in 1979, it follows a group of children, filming a not so blockbuster zombie movie on a 'borrowed' camcorder. But when they witness a horiffic train crash, they discover a threatening creature not of this earth. The adventure, suspense and '70s culture made 'Super 8'- super great! And with a message that discusses co-operation and the events that follow if that's not in place, makes this a more meaningful flick.
